WoW Nagrand oceanic. Position 3642 in queue, 126 mins. Dead? Right.
I’m kind of happy it’s like this: we have players everywhere.
Perhaps the Ddns attack affected times, perhaps it’s all the returning players. A bit of realm maint and the odd tweak we might see more capacity. I’ll wait. The content isn’t going anywhere.
- Position and time flings around a bit; from 45 mins to 450 minutes. Yikes!
- 2 hours later, still a 2+ hour wait estimated.
- 3 hours later, 45 min to 1.5 hours to wait. And I think the queue is going down because we all need to go to bed to sleep.
My first observation on Theramore scenario – the queue system for random groups is odd. A few folk also observed this, and it really deserves an answer from a Blue. I waited for 20 minutes today to try and play, alas I had to logout before the invite.
My cynical mind thinks that something has been borked in the set-up, or perhaps the demand for the scenario is so much higher than expected, and higher than the server load can handle. Apparently pre-mades of 3 jump right in, so I’ll be looking for some guildies to play with tonight. Might also spam trade to get right in too, as funny as that will be.
LFG Theramore, geared DPS / Tank 390+, need any.
Wait and see I guess.
ps. I know this is a first world problem, thus the QQ.
Happy killing, TyphoonAndrew
I hate waiting. A lot. When something can happen in an automated and efficient manner involving a computer, I see only one reason why we would be waiting in queues. And that reason is money.
The realm queues on Nagrand are impressive, unless you’re on very early or very late you can expect a 20-45 minute pause in your schedule, and if you only plan on playing for 1 hour, that is a no deal. We’ve had 500s to 1100s in line to get on. And that is not the worst of it, other servers have the same or worse stats.
So why money? Well hardware = money, tech time = money, and skill = money. The demand from the player base is clearly huge. I can see why, Wrath of the Lich King is already starting out better than The Burning Crusade, and I loved tBC. Every old player and casual has stepped up to visit WoW again, and others may have taken the opportunity to switch Main toons or even servers. Demand is basically through the roof, and Blizzard should release a ramp up plan to the community to let us know they are aware and care.
