The Raid Finder will give Need rolls a +100 modifier if your Role in the instance matches the item. This is excellent. In fact, put that in the LFG system too please.
How do they tell what is a Tank item vs a Dps item?
Well they’d either classify each item which would take ages or they have an algorithm (a previous post about exactly that type of algorithm in April). Its like they’re reading the blog.
Beta or Blizzcon - both inaccessable from Aus
Well probably not kill, but I’d go close to the borderline of illegal to get something more interesting to muck about with in WoW at the moment. Some of the give aways are great from such folks as the Instance and Wowhead, but still probably not going to get me there.
I’d even follow a test script if such a thing was there, so I must be getting antsy.
A great addon created by Tekkub, called Teksloot – highly suited to 5 mans, but useful in any run.
The key feature: this addon will show you who has rolled Need, Greed, DE, or Pass, so you can watch items easier at the end of the run.
Q. But why is this great for 5 mans?
A. So I can see who is rolling need on the Frozen Orbs, and other stuff. No more folks rolling need and you not realising till later.
Also nice is that it makes the loot item frames a ton smaller, so they don’t take up the full screen. Great for when folks loot mid battle, and then your screen is covered in loot windows. In other news, I’m pretty much gong to announce at the start of the run that we’re rolling need on Orbs. Makes this easier too.
After a badly timed death (what is a well timed death?) while zerging through instances with a mate on his 80 Death Knight and one of my 70s, the loot window appeared. Seems that there the possibility of an odd sync between your death and the opportunity to roll.
Need or Greed...Blizzard says no loot for you!
Now that is loot that deserves to go to a Hunter (Sorry Jez – the cheap shots are often the best).
