Tiny PTR update for 4.3

There are some small tweaks to the Ptr notes for patch 4.3. From a Death Knight perspective there are no changes of any significance, but Druids, Warriors, Rogues, Paladins and Hunters will want to read them.

One nice general tweak is that the Guild Standards work in Firelands again, so get ’em out when the kills happen.

Guild Standards are again useable in Firelands. Duration has been increased to 15 minutes, the effect has a 100 yard radius, and now affects dead players.

Also there is an UI element added to change the selection of some object and NPC types, which will now interact with different types of clicks; and an option to turn this off.

Added a feature to interact with NPCs, game objects (mailbox, mining nodes, etc.), and corpses on left-click as well as right-click. There is now an option under Interface:Controls to turn this feature off.

I read into that a change to the potential targeting in combat too, as we had that “bug” recently where we’d target dead mobs. I think this will be turned off pretty quickly.

Happy hunting, and may your Halloween gifts be fun and rare.

  1. The targetting bug is so recent that it still exists. Doesn’t tab-target dead mobs as often anymore, but it does still occasionally switch back to a dead former target when you use a melee ability.
